Idiosyncrazies Gallery & Gift Shop in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ is featuring three of my funky bird panels seen below in the right window display and inside the gallery. The three pieces affectionately entitled Little Pink-Footed Flutter Flyer Bird, Artsy Albatross and Island Pumpkin Bird, are among other works of culturally diverse art as well as crafts. Originally these panels functioned as palettes for paintings. After being inspired by fascinating bird photos, I took the artistic license to create abstract birds and give those old palettes new life. They have temporarily found a nice home, however, all are available for adoption! Birds have also showed up in a few other paintings that have graced the canvas including Little Bird With Silver and Renaissance (see my Gallery).
I was invited to do a solo exhibition at Idiosyncrazies Gallery & Gift Shop for the month of Sept. 2012. The opening reception will be announced. Hope to see you there! Thank you Sharon Schmidt! It’s great to show work in my hometown 🙂
